Icy Waltz: Silkork—Sword and Sagacity

In the world of Genshin Impact, ice and snow are never just monotonous solitude. They can be a raging storm, a moving poem, or even a dance performed by a wise queen. With the arrival of Version 5.7, a new 5-star ice element character, Shikochuu, will soon join the game. She is like a delicate snowflake, bringing not only the chill of ice but also the wisdom and beauty of the sword.
Some say that Shikochuu’s arrival is like a mysterious invitation. Her rarity is 5-star, her elemental type is ice, her weapon is a one-handed sword, and her sub-stat is a 38.4% critical damage boost. Behind these numbers lies the story of an ice queen. Her exclusive weapon is called “Sōyō,” with a base attack of 608, an attack percentage of 33.1%, and a critical rate of 5.4%. Additionally, after using her elemental skill, her attack increases by 24% for 12 seconds. If her elemental energy is at 0, her attack further increases by 24%, and her critical damage increases by 40%. These numbers tell a tale of ice and swords.
Shikochuu’s normal attack is called “Kyōaku Gi: Dan,” which is as gentle and dense as spring rain. It can perform up to five consecutive attacks, like a poem with a rhythmic flow. Her charged attack consumes stamina to throw a spinning ice spear, dealing damage to enemies in front of her, creating a beautiful arc in the air. Her plunge attack is like an ice festival, dealing damage to enemies in the path and upon landing.
Her elemental skill, “Kyōaku Gi: Sen,” is where Shikochuu truly shines. She mimics the fighting style of the “Kyōaku,” switching to the “Shichirin Issen” mode when tapped, granting her 45 points of “Snake’s Cunning.” When held, she gains the same 45 points and enters a state of rapid movement with increased resistance to interruption. Shikochuu can control the direction of her movement and end the rapid movement early by reactivating the skill. This skill is all about speed, direction, and wisdom in combat.
Her elemental burst, “Kyōaku Gi: Metsu,” is her ultimate move. Unlike other characters, it does not rely on elemental energy but on “Snake’s Cunning.” When she has at least 50 points of “Snake’s Cunning,” she can consume it to tear through space and perform rapid slashes, dealing ice elemental damage. For every point of “Snake’s Cunning” above 50, the damage increases, with a maximum of 12 additional points. In “Shichirin Issen” mode, her elemental burst is replaced by “Kyōaku Gi: Tsuku,” which does not consume “Snake’s Cunning” and grants her the “Chōjin” effect until the mode ends. If her inherent talent “Ri no Kokoro” is unlocked, she can absorb “Virtual Rifts” within a certain range. The “Chōjin” effect increases the damage of her normal attacks every 0.1 seconds. If she absorbs “Virtual Rifts,” the damage further increases based on the number of rifts absorbed. This effect lasts until it has been triggered 10 times.
Shikochuu’s fixed skills are equally impressive. Her first inherent talent, “Ri no Kokoro,” allows nearby party members to trigger effects like freezing, superconduct, or crystal formation on enemies.
