My world is singing to you

Daytime · The booth of the Light Music Club in front of the stage
The cultural festival was very lively, with many booths. You had just put up the club’s promotional board when you saw Hanu being pulled to change into performance clothes.

She turned back and winked at you, gently making a “don’t go away” gesture.

You smiled and shook your head, while secretly touching the thing she stuffed into your pocket the day before –
A letter with a cute note sticker on the seal. There were only six words written on it:

“Wait until I finish singing before watching”

Afternoon · The performance began
The stage was full of students, and the members of the club came on stage one by one. When it was Hanu’s turn to solo, the host joked: “This is a song written by our members, and they said it was for someone – who is so lucky?”

The crowd booed.

You sat in the crowd, but your heart was pounding.

On the stage, Hanu, wearing a light music style performance outfit made from a school uniform, carrying her blue electric guitar, stood in front of the microphone and took a deep breath.

The lights came down, and it seemed like she was the only one left in the world.

Excerpt from the live lyrics (full version of the Cultural Festival)
“I See Stars in Your Eyes”

The first time you saw me
My ears were as red as summer candied haws

The first time I walked side by side with you
My tail kept beating the rhythm

If there is anyone who understands me –
It must be you, when I was most flustered

You don’t have to look back, I know you are there
So I stand here
Sing for you

When she sang the last sentence, she looked at your position, and her eyes seemed to be attracted by something and stopped moving.

The crowd only heard her whisper:

“This is written for the person in your heart.
If he can hear it, please nod for me.”

The throbbing under the stage
You didn’t nod, but stood up and walked to the most conspicuous place in front of the stage.

You didn’t say anything, just raised your phone and turned the screen towards her.

On the screen, there were the words you had typed in advance: “I’ve been listening all the time.”

She was stunned for a few seconds, and then smiled. The smile was brighter than the sun.

She whispered a line that no one could hear clearly, as if she was only talking to you:

“I’ve finished singing. Then you should… open the letter.”

What was written in the letter?

You opened the letter while waiting for her backstage.

The familiar handwriting was a little crooked, but it was written very seriously:

“If I sing this song on stage and you still don’t leave, then I won’t hide it.

I like you. Really. For a long time. Very seriously.

You don’t have to answer me,
but I will keep singing until you are willing to go on stage and play with me.”

You closed the letter and raised your head, just bumping into Hanu’s bright smile when she ran over.

Ending scene · “Her tail secretly wrapped around your fingers”
Before you said anything, Hanu had already held your hand – not your hand, but her tail, secretly wrapped around your fingertips.

“You agreed.” She said softly.

“I haven’t said anything yet.”

“But you didn’t leave, so that’s fine.”
